• Notification token: a randomly generated device token is stored securely to deliver alerts (e.g., disruption notifications)
• Region-only location: used locally to determine your region for better app content
• No usage analytics or tracking
• No advertising or ad identifiers

2. Local Device Storage

If you enable location features like “Nearby Stations,” your location is processed entirely on your device. We may use region-level location (e.g., country or city) to tailor app content. We never store or transmit your exact location to our servers.

4. Public Transport Data

RailTracker displays information from official transport sources:

• Transport for London (TfL)
• Eurostar GTFS feeds (future support)
• European transport agencies (future support)

We only fetch publicly available schedule data. No personal information is sent to these services.

Since we don’t collect personal data, there’s nothing to share with third parties.

6. Children’s Privacy

RailTracker is safe for all ages. We don’t collect information from anyone, including children under 13. COPPA compliant.

7. Your Privacy Rights

Under GDPR, CCPA, and other privacy laws, you have rights regarding personal data. Since we don’t collect any, these rights don’t apply — which is the best protection.

8. App Store Compliance

This policy meets Apple App Store and Google Play Store requirements. RailTracker is designed to respect your privacy from the ground up. The app does not use any third-party SDKs that transmit data to external servers.

9. Crash Reporting

Currently disabled. If implemented in the future, this policy will be updated to reflect any changes.

Changes will be posted here with an updated effective date. Check periodically for updates.

11. Permissions

RailTracker may request access to your location only to enable relevant features like “Nearby Stations.” This permission is optional and can be revoked at any time via your device settings.

12. Notifications

If you enable notifications, RailTracker generates a secure device token to send alerts (such as service disruptions). This token is stored solely for notification delivery and is not tied to your personal identity. You can revoke notification permissions at any time through your device settings.
